Hybrid Builds : a hybrid is when you take two things, and combine them to make it one. Hybrids are built with both str and int attributes. Some consider them weak, but can be very powerful characters if played smart. Hybrids are the jack of all trades, master of none. A hybrid will be able to take more hits than a pure int, but do less damage. On the other hand, a hybrid can do more damage, but take less hits that a pure str.
Some people create these builds to find an alternative to the average "cookie cutter" build. Hybrids are difficult to play, and not recommended for anyone planning to play SilkRoad hardcore. Hybrids will be fun, but will be weaker later on in higher levels. Hybrids are a "Utility" build, they are based on survival. It is a fact, hybrids will use less potions than a pure strength or intelligence, but at a cost of slight weakness.
